When comes to modeling programs, I love it a lot ! Knowing much of the basic of all program that I have either learn for touch before, heres a summary of what I likes about each of them.


Adobe CS 2
A suits that ave a lot a lot of design program but not much have been use by me, except Photoshop and Illustrator.


Adobe CS 3: Design Premium
Have it, but didn't use yet, cause I have my CS2, and i find no reason to upgrade to CS3 unless i buy a Macbook.


3D Studio Max 9
Have it, not bad, don't know how to use it properly yet XD.


3D Studio Max 2008
Getting it, have not tried before, might be interesting ^^


FryRender
A Standalone Renderer, result are good ^^


Vray for Rhino, 3DS, Maya
A plugin Renderer, which i find it especially good when rendering lighting objects and soft shadow.


AutoCAD 2009
Getting it, currently do not own it, might try it out and play for awhile =D


Alias Studio 2009
A very professional 3D modeling software which have a high retail price T_T, getting it soon.


Brazil for Rhino BETA
Hmm, got it, but haven tried it out yet, hope it is nice ^^


Rhinoceros 4.0 SR3
A totally good software to use, currently school is using this software, so I am pretty familiar with most of the function, not expert though.


Bongo for Rhino
A plugin that allow animation in Rhino, got it not long ago, still learning how to use it ^^


Flamingo for Rhino
A plugin that render objects in rhino very realistic, thats ray tracing, i haven tried photometric though.


Penguin for Rhino
A plugin that render objects out to be something very graphical, such as sketches or drawing, good for Media Design, product wise, not so much of a usefulness in it.


Lightwave 3D v9
A program i found very interesting, as it can render such a real interior of a house out, thats make me interested to try this products out.


Maya 2008
Haven got it yet, but it seems that not secondary school is using it for 3D modeling, which i cannot lose out to them XD


Swift 3D v5
This is a standalone renderer, I got it but didn't really go and try it out, althought is look real cool.


Indigo v0.9
A 3D renderer, I got it but not so good in using it, didn't find much difference to others renderer (maybe i am not good in this) XD

opps =X, i forgot to blog for Monday and Tuesday, but nvm, both are the short one but lots of things have been done during both of the day.

MONDAY

Hmm, basically, today is the interview of the Sentosa thingys, nothing much i can say, but we reach there at around 5pm + so lot of transport need to be taken before we can reach the office, so when we told to enter the meeting room, there was this 3 ladies, 1 is Roseline (whom call and inform us about the interview), Jonne, a ladies whom we dunno who is she, and the other, (a very mono face). So ya, throughout the interview, the mono face did not laugh or even speak, only time she speak is when Jonne ask her what program we will be using, she answered "Adobe illustrator and Freehand." Then we was like OMG, die le, we didn't learn alot about illustrator, and we never touch freehand before (for your info, if you think free hand is freehand drawing, you are wrong! it is a adobe program that works like illustrator).

Then on our way back, we keep thinking and thinking, like dun feel like working for them, cause they say only got 1 vacancies, then need to work with mono face we sure die de, expecailly 1 to 1 XD, during the interview Ivan keep promoting his flickr account and give a CD, hahax, i just mention my online protfolio, so most likely would get in is Ivan this time round. XD

Ohh ya, the studio have been change to a new layout check out the photo below ! I am sitting at the corner right at the end, near printer, scanner, studio library XD, good services man, hee hee...

This whole week we have 2 Chicago Lecturer to teach us on how to do a design enthonography and will be working with us on the projects coming soon, 1 week only ..>.<

TUSEDAY

A day that me and my group have to go to present the Gift Design, after the whole presentation, I know how to read mind and read body language. And I know the director dun want our design le, just that the kind lady help us, to me its fine, just a project that failed to a client. So if they really rejecys thats it fine for me, just take it as a portfolio content ^^

For us, who have attended the 50+ workshop, almost all of us have already been to Chinatown for to pay a visit to that place. Didn't so too far off the allocated area. So didn't see much of the outside.

Today we went there, quite early, around 2pm we are all there, so had our lunch at the coffee shop opp MacDonald, Kantong Laksa....HAHA, eat eat and we rest awhile before starting to do our stuff, so we keep walking around the complex and then to the Housing estate of the elderly there. Lot of them are playing chinese chess....we took a lot of photos along the way. And Chinatown is a very interesting place, if you observe carefully with the new perspective and new mindset, you would found out that a lot of the place have a very big contrast of modern and traditional.

I took a lot of photo, but most of them could not be uploaded as it is our project photos, so copyright reason I only can upload those which is not so important but looks nice to me de photos.

Today was sunday, special things happen, i go back to school >.< to get my portfolio printed out, so sway, printed halfway the yellow ink ran out....eeewwww...so no choice but to stop printing lo...ohh ya...btw, Thierry told me that Glenn CNC thingy turns out to be my coaster...hahas...wad a lame file -.-, but nvm, that aside, so i have to hlp glenn prepare a block and CNC it all over again. Do some spraying onto my SP CORE model, hope is the last cost...if not really die le, need to present it to Director on tues...AAHH >.<

hahax...Friday, its a day for those who are having the workshop to be resting for this 1 and only day, but not for me >.<, have to go back with my team to get this stupid coaster cutting -.-, and the presentation is this coming Tuesday. OMG OMG ! And Monday I got a Sentosa Interview...


CNC cutting the Coaster (it took more than 3hours to cut this 3mm thick and 8 diameter thingys.

Cause alot of them were frantic about the news over the 50+ workshop through media, so all keep looking for the picture of them, i know i won't be inside, cause they never took me >.< okie, sad things aside. And ya, as i was saying, so he was looking at "Lain He Zhao Bao" (I think So) with Ivan and his group photo in it, he is so engross in that newspaper, we find it funny, cause we dunno he know how to reads it ma, but he look as though he know chinese words ! so Paul video him while i "paparazzi" him ^^

HI, i have quite a number of day not blogging le, many might wonder what happen, majority might not (cause I dun blog often XD. Okie, I won't go into the details of each day, theres a total number of 4 day, where 1st day is getting to know each other kind of stuff, then 2nd day is site seeing, Chinatown. 3rd day we stay whole day at studio cracking our brain on concept and developing it, 4th day is the presentation day.
